Florida Sheriffs' dogs compete in K-9 March Madness tournament

Voters pick who wins in online bracket competition.

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — Deputy K-9s from sheriff's offices in Pinellas, Sarasota and Manatee County are in the "elite eight" of the Florida Sheriff's Association March Madness tournament.

K-9s from around the state are going head to head in the annual competition.

Holmes from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Laura from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office and Dax from the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office are facing off in the third round. 

Deputies from Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota and Highlands submitted their K-9 partners to become the "top dog" in the state.

In total, 30 of Florida's law enforcement agencies are competing, and you can vote for your favorite K-9 online.  

Voting ends for the third round on Thursday at 3 p.m.
