JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Big D the thick boy is looking for a new family -- and a new diet.

Doughnut, a.k.a. Big D, is a whopping 38 pounds. He's currently up for adoption at the Jacksonville Human Society.

The humane society said Big D needs an owner who is willing to keep him on a strict diet. Those extra pounds may be cute, but it's not healthy for a cat to be so chunky.

His new family will also need to work with a veterinarian to get him to the right weight at the right pace, the humane society said.
