TAMPA, Fla. — A baby giraffe was born at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay right in time to celebrate World Giraffe Day.
She was born on Wednesday to parents Angel and Titan. The unnamed calf and her mother are bonding and being monitored by staff and veterinarians, according to an Instagram post from the park.
Two days later, on Friday, was World Giraffe Day, where the park celebrated the animals with giraffe-inspired snacks, drinks and talks with keepers who take care of the animals.
The new calf is behind the scenes, but the park will provide an update when she will be out for visitors.
