Why did the baby gator cross the road?
We don't know, but the gator made it safely across with the help of a Polk County deputy.
The sheriff's office tweeted this cute video of a deputy helping an alligator cross Shepherd Road in Lakeland.
The baby gator scurries into an old phosphate pit and out of sight.
