after being shot five times."You can see the bullet hole," Keetley says pointing to his right arm. After weeks in the hospital, he's now at home recovering.Photo Gallery: Ice cream truck driver shot during robberyA little more than two weeks ago, Keetley was driving through the Sun City neighborhood when a young woman flagged him down. Keetley thought she wanted a cold treat, but what happened next was chilling. "She was smiling and happy, like everything was fine. She took two steps back and the next thing you know, I got a guy with a gun in my face," says Keetley. Two masked men robbed Keetley of all he had - just a couple of bucks. But they didn't just leave. "Boom, boom, boom, boom," Keetley describes the guns going off and the aftermath. "Every time my heart would beat, I would see blood just shooting out (of my chest)."With blood just pumping out of him, Keetley needed help and fast. However, with shots in his arm and hand, he couldn't use his phone. So somehow he managed to drive down the road and find a family.Rosa Hinojosa and her family members called 911 and held towels over Keetley's wounds. "Without them, I would have died," says Keetley of the family, some of his regular customers. With bones shattered and nerves destroyed, Keetley has lost most of the movement in his arms and hands. His road to recovery will be long and his future is uncertain. But Keetley does know one thing. He wants his violent attackers caught."They're absolute scum... If they were so brazen to shoot me like this over $12, they're going to just kill anybody. They don't care now. They don't care."If you have information about this crime call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-973-TIPS (8477).Keetley does not have medical insurance. You can send donations to: Michael Keetley
