HUDSON, Fla. - Officials with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office have arrested eight women in an undercover prostitution bust along U.S. Highway 19. One business owner in particular said she is very happy with the arrests.

They're very distracting to the drivers, let alone taking away from our business because they're looking at the prostitutes instead of us," said Danette Denton, part owner of Circle of Friends Thrift Shop alongU.S. 19.The business owner said she sees the prostitutes outside her store trying to solicit people and she's had to ask them to leave her property. Denton added that they're distracting to drivers and also bad for her business. She said she's called the sheriff's office to complain before.It's complaints from her and others that sparked the bust Thursday. Deputies say one suspect, Melisa Bryan, was also charged with possession aftermarijuana was found in her bra. Another, Marlene Rogers, allegedly told the undercover officer she was tired and "did not really want to perform oral sex but would for $20.""This is a quality-of-life issue for our citizens. They don't want to see this on their highways. They don't want to see this in our community and in our neighborhoods," said Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco.Sheriff Nocco said he hopes this bust sends a message that the laws will be strictly enforced in Pasco County.Officials with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office say busts like this one will continue, although they are not done regularly.Arrested Are:ul> Marlene Glory Rogers, 22 Andrea L.
