LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — One of the most anticipated rides at Walt Disney World finally has an opening date.
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is set to open on October 1, 2021.
The ride was supposed to open in 2020, but was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ride is the focal point of a large expansion to EPCOT's France pavilion. Disney says the ride lets guests "feel as if they shrink to the size of Chef Remy and scurry through Gusteau's famous restaurant."
Along with the opening of the family-friendly ride, Disney announced a new restaurant "La Crêperie de Paris" will open the same day as the ride.
The restaurant will feature crepes, galettes, and authentic French hard cider.
EPCOT is in the middle of a massive transformation to celebrate the park's history and future.
These openings will help kick off "The World's Most Magical Celebration," celebrating the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World. The 18-month event will feature new experiences at each theme park, including new overlay at Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom, and new, nighttime lighting coming to the other park icons.
