It's not every day on Great Day Live that we're able to truly surprise a guest, but this morning we pulled it off! Support The Troops Director Mark Van Trees awarded 10 Tampa Bay's Kathryn Bursch with a heartfelt and honorable award for her service and dedication to the community, the troops and the organization Support The Troops. Van Trees presented Bursch with an American flag flown on the last flight from Afghanistan holding refugees last year.
Support The Troops is a local nonprofit dedicated to shipping care packages to our troops serving overseas. 10 Tampa Bay conducts an annual drive around the holidays raising awareness and collecting supplies for this organization. The large-scaled effort is led by Kathryn Bursch, 10 Tampa Bay's Manager of Strategic Partnerships. Bursch leads and organizes community service projects throughout the year, motivating the staff at 10 Tampa Bay to serve, as well as the Tampa Bay community.
