Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg took over the halftime show with some... interesting results when Ferrell appeared to knock out a cheerleader with a basketball.

Ferrell was quite literally carried away by security, but the crowd shouldn't expect the actor to be in trouble with the law; it was all part of a scene being shot for the upcoming comedy "Daddy's Home."

That made everyone in the crowd a movie extra.

"Very surprised. You never know what you're gonna get when you come here," said fan Lester Cortez.

It was a special finale for one old Metairie family in the crowd. Dane and Wendy Ciolino and their daughter Camille opened up their home to the film crew earlier this month.

"One of the location people stopped by while they were canvassing the neighborhood and just asked if they could use the house," Dane Ciolino said.

The film crew took over house and spent two weeks building a garage onto the side of the house for the set.

"There was a lot of trust us, don't worry, we're used to this. We'll put it back together. And sure enough they did," said Dane Ciolino.

And for four full days, Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg called their house home.

"Could not have been nicer, and then you kind of got the feeling they were your friend, because they were so nice, so nice to us. So we just loved it," Wendy Ciolino said.

And while fans didn't get to play house with the superstars, they were excited about their unexpected cameo.

"I'm a Will Ferrell fanatic. I don't miss nothing with it. Nothing. I was like, yeah, it's worth the ticket, it's worth price," said fan Elton Dukes. "I'm really happy though. I enjoyed it."

The film is expected to be released later this year.
