ORLANDO, Fla. — The record-shattering, Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon "Wicked" is known for its thrilling journey into a fantastical, gravity-defying and magical world. Now, that fantasy world is coming to Universal Orlando Resort.
Starting in late October, the park will become home to "Wicked: The Experience," according to a statement from Universal Orlando. The one-of-a-kind store will offer guests a chance to enter the Land of Oz and go down the iconic yellow brick road. Park-goers will immerse themselves in some of the most memorable moments and places from the musical, including Shiz University and Emerald City.
It comes at the perfect time, as the musical officially becomes a cinematic masterpiece on Nov. 22. The film will feature some of the most renowned stars, including multi-platinum recording artist Ariana Grande, who will play Glinda — a popular young woman, gilded by privilege and ambition who has yet to discover her true heart.
Cynthia Erivo, known for her role in Broadway's The Color Purple, will star in the film as Elphaba — a social outcast who has yet to discover her true power.
To make the experience fascinating, costumes and props created by the designers from the film will be on display, according to Universal Orlando. Fans of the movie will be able to deck out in exclusive apparel and accessories, which will be available to purchase.

According to Universal Orlando, Voodoo Doughnuts and The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen will also share the joy with limited time treats inspired by the world of "Wicked."
