ATHENS, GA. - While G-Day was free to attend, it was not free for UGA.
The University of Georgia paid Luadcris $65 thousand in addition to food and supplies such as six bottles of liquor and condoms for performing Saturday at G-Day, the football team's intrasquad spring scrimmage.
The contract between Ludacris and Georgia was released by the Macon Telegraph through an Open Records Request.
Ludacris performed for a grand total of 15 minutes, which means he was paid $4,333.33 per minute.
11Alive has reached out to Ludacris' manager and University of Georgia Athletics Department for comment on the extensive nature of the contract, but they were not immediately able to respond.
Georgia announced Ludacris would be performing two days before G-Day after it looked like it had been unsuccessful in securing a performer. The team had expressed wanting a musical guest in an effort to fill Sanford Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 93,000. Georgia was able to fill the stadium Saturday.
Here is the full list of what Ludacris requested as it is written in the contract:
1. TOWELS
Purchaser shall provide a total of (1) dozen white towels (Must be clean; NO OLD TOWELS). Towels shall be available to the Production Manager at load in.
2. DINNER
Dinner to be served for at least 10 people
