TAMPA, Fla. — With some major artists on tour this year, stadium concert sales are booming — especially here in Tampa.
Pollstar Magazine, a leading concert and live music publication, released its 2024 midyear rankings on Tuesday.
Pollstar ranked Raymond James Stadium at No. 8 out of 50 stadiums worldwide for gross concert sales, making it the highest-ranked U.S. stadium.
That means with $23,856,249 in gross concert sales so far this year, Raymond James has sold more than any other stadium in the country.
When it comes to ticket sales, Raymond James Stadium earned another impressive ranking at No. 18 out of 50 stadiums worldwide with 115,069 tickets sold.
The stadium credits two major events for its success in the first half of 2024: Billy Joel and Sting's one-night-only performance on Feb. 24 and Kenny Chesney's concert with Zac Brown Band on April 20. Both were sold-out shows.
And the team at Ray Jay expects to see some more big numbers this summer with two Morgan Wallen and Jelly Roll shows in July and a Zach Bryan show in August.
Raymond James Stadium has also been nominated for Pollstar’s Stadium of the Year 2024 with the likes of MetLife Stadium, SoFi Stadium and Fenway Park.
This comes after Raymond James Stadium had a record-setting 2023 with eight sold-out concerts from Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Luke Combs and George Strait.
