It's not often that a TV show airs its bloopers. Most stars like to hide their mistakes.
That was not the case with "The Carol Burnett Show." The moments where the stars lost their composure were some of the most memorable in the 11 years the show was on CBS.
And the king of making his co-stars lose it was Tim Conway.
Conway, who died at the age of 85 on Tuesday, was legendary for cracking up his co-stars, especially Harvey Korman.
Two moments from the show especially stand out. One was "The Dentist" sketch, where Conway plays a dentist trying to administer Novocain to Korman on his first day on the job. Korman later admitted he wet his pants from trying not to crack up at Conway's antics.
The second was during one of the later seasons of the show, after Korman had left the show and was replaced by Dick Van Dyke.
During one of the regular "Mama's Family" sketches, Conway goes way off script and starts talking about elephants. By the time he gets to talking about Siamese elephants joined at the trunk, his castmates are desperately trying not to laugh.
Then Mama herself, Vicki Lawrence, lets loose with a definitely unscripted comeback and everyone loses it. (WARNING: The video below contains an obscenity)
Thanks for the laughs, Mr. Conway!
