TAMPA, Fla. — The NFL and Tampa Bay Super Bowl LV Host Committee recently launched the "Business Connect" program.
Their goal is to create opportunities for business owners from local, diverse communities to compete for contracting opportunities connected to Super Bowl LV in Tampa in 2021.
There are no guaranteed contracts, but a maximum of 300 businesses will get the chance to take part in contracting opportunities related to Super Bowl LV.
One of the key requirements - your business has to "be 51-percent owned by a minority, woman, veteran or LGBT individual."
Tuesday morning, the committee is holding a workshop for local business owners.
Business owners attending will experience networking, educational and other business development opportunities; along with learning the criteria for being a part of the committee.
There will also be guest speakers that will share their experience.
The community information workshop will take place at the Bryan Glazer Family Jewish Community Center from 8 to 11 a.m.
If you are a business owner and interested in attending, you still have a chance to sign up.
