CLEARWATER, Fla. — We’re happy to announce Sandy Lane Elementary in Pinellas County as our 10News School of the Week powered by Duke Energy Florida.
A Conservatory for the Arts, next year, the school with be a visual arts magnet for the northern part of the county. So, what does this mean?
Students will find art principles infused in their academic classes, but will also have the opportunity to take specialized classes like dance and strings. It’s about project-based learning, oral storytelling, collaboration and creativity. The administration says they already seen more engagement.
The school is still taking applications for next year and currently offering tours of the school program.
All the excitement of this new program is just one reason Sandy Lane is this week’s 10News School of the Week powered by Duke Energy Florida.
