Starting Thursday, March 3rd former Bucs Receiver Michael Clayton will be officially joining 10News WTSP on our show Studio 10 Live, WTSP’s daytime variety show focused on Florida lifestyles and the latest in local arts, entertainment and cuisine.
“Football has helped me build a character of excellence and a mentality of greatness. It has been those characteristics that have gotten me to this point in my life, and provide the drive to want to make my community a better place,” Clayton stated. “I'm proud to say that I have a working family again at WTSP, and plan on giving the Tampa Bay area something to remember in the most positive way possible.”
Clayton, who was drafted in the first round by the Buccaneers in 2004 and finished second in rookie of the year voting, is an analyst and regular contributor for both the NFL Network and the Big Ten Network. He is also the president of the Tampa Bay chapter of the NFL Alumni Association. A married father of three, Clayton is actively involved in local causes with his Generation Next Foundation, which focuses on helping at risk youth transition from the State of Florida foster care system and into independent living.
“In his time with the Bucs, Michael showed that he was all about the team, and in the years since he’s demonstrated the same commitment to our community,” said Elliott Wiser, President and General Manager of 10News WTSP. “We’re excited for him to bring that same passion to Studio 10 Live every morning, and are proud that he’s chosen to join our team.”
Clayton joins entertainment critic and broadcasting veteran, Stephanie Webb, on the set of Studio 10 Live. “My job has taken me to Cannes Film Festival, the Country Music Awards, and Dancing with the Stars,” Webb said, “but I’ve rarely had as much fun as I have teaming up with Michael. Beyond the football field, he knows the play by play of Tampa Bay - and always brings his big-game personality.”
Studio 10 Live is an engaging morning talk show featuring lifestyle segments, cooking, critters, movies and music. It’s your source for information on upcoming events all over Tampa Bay.
