MIAMI (AP) -- Playboy is suing two glitzy South Beach nightclubs for copyright infringement.Playboy says the clubs used Playmate pictorials without permission in promotional materials.The Opium Group is the owner and operator of the two clubs -- Mansion and Prive. Playboy Enterprises International says it had denied a request to use images from a pictorial featuring actress Bai Ling to promote a May 21st event at the Mansion nightclub.The lawsuit says that nevertheless, three photographs from the June 2005 pictorial were reproduced without permission and altered to include Mansion's logo on flyers advertising the event.
