ORLANDO, Fla. — Attention all Disney World diehards living in the Sunshine State! The "The Most Magical Place On Earth" is offering a new ticket deal for Florida residents only, starting on Thursday.
Starting Jan. 11, Floridians will be able to buy a 2-day ticket for $199 (plus tax) to visit theme parks any day of the week, including weekends, with an advance park reservation. The "Florida Resident Disney Thrills Ticket" will be valid any day until March 15, 2024. Buyers can also get a 3-day ticket for $219.
According to the theme park, the tickets can be used on consecutive or nonconsecutive days. Plus, buyers can add upgrades, including a "Park Hopper" option for an additional $40 per ticket, plus tax, "Water Park and Sports" access for an additional $35, or a combination of both for an added $55.
"By January, most people are back at work, the kids are back in school, and that can only mean one thing: when is your next vacation?" said a Disney World spokesperson in a press release, "If you didn’t have a chance to experience some of the incredible new offerings and attractions in 2023 — now is an awesome time to go to Disney World."
Some of those new attractions include the new "Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana" interactive exploration trails at EPCOT and the "TRON Lightcycle / Run" roller coaster at the Magic Kingdom.
Later in the year, Disney World fans can look forward to new additions to the park, including "Tiana’s Bayou Adventure", which will be replacing the Magic Kingdom ride "Splash Mountain".
Anyone planning on taking up the offer can also save up to 20 percent on rooms at select Disney Resort hotels for stays through early 2024.
