ORLANDO, Fla. — The new Harry Potter-themed roller coaster at Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure is having a rockier time of it than the Weasleys' car in the branches of the Whomping Willow.
Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure will stop operating before the end of the park day for routine daily maintenance, the park announced Wednesday.
The park said it will be working to open the ride in the morning and accommodate as many guests during the day as possible.
Last month, Universal Orlando said the ride would not open at the same time as the rest of park because "our team needs time to take care of the ride's daily maintenance and technical support."
Wait times for the ride stretched as long as 10 hours following its June 13 debut.
