CLEARWATER, Fla. — With fewer than 50 days left until Christmas, a local Tampa Bay-area radio station is making the switch to play non-stop holiday music.
While some strongly believe Christmas festivities can only start after Thanksgiving, iHeartMedia Tampa Bay seems to think differently after they flipped the switch early Friday morning.
From now on, listeners in the Tampa Bay area can soak in the non-stop holiday music playing on Mix 100.7 until it wraps up after the holiday season is over.
10 Tampa Bay was there in the studio to witness the switch happen – from playing a variety from the 80s, 90s, 2000s and today's hits to holiday favorites from singers like Bing Crosby, Michael Bublé and Andy Williams.
"Mix 100.7 Christmas music has become a tradition in Tampa Bay,” said Tommy Chuck, Sr. Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Tampa Bay, in a statement. “After the year we’ve had, we need the joy that this music brings.”
