TAMPA, Fla. — One of the most popular and recognizable performers of a generation will be performing in Tampa this summer.
Legendary five-time Grammy winner Janet Jackson announced that she's extending her "Together Again" tour, which kicked off in 2023, with 35 new dates in 2024. Among them is a stop on Tuesday, July 16, at MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre. She'll also perform in two other Florida cities — West Palm Beach on July 18 and Orlando on July 20.
Fans can purchase tickets with presales starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, continuing throughout the week until general sales begin on Friday at 10 a.m. More ticketing information, including VIP experiences, can be found here.
Jackson won't be traveling alone for the summer 2024 leg of her tour, which kicks off in June. She'll be joined by rap icon Nelly, a three-time Grammy winner, known for hits like "Country Grammar," "Hot in Here" and "Dilemma."
The "Together Again" tour pays tribute to Jackson's 50th anniversary in entertainment, a press release reads. Fans will relive her music as she spotlights three of her most critically acclaimed albums: "The Velvet Rope," "Janet" and "Rhythm Nation."
Along with her Grammy success, Jackson also has two Emmy Awards along with a Golden Globe Award, leaving her just a Tony Award shy of reaching the coveted "EGOT" status.
"With sales of over 180 million records worldwide, Janet Jackson stands as one of the best-selling artists of all time with a string of hits that have left an indelible impression on pop culture," a press release says. "She also stands as one of only four artists to have a #1 album for four successive decades alongside Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springsteen and U2."
