TAMPA, Fla. — Iconic pop-rock band Hootie & the Blowfish is hitting the road in 2024 on a newly announced tour – and yes, there is a stop in Tampa to look forward to.

The Summer Camp with Trucks Tour, produced by Live Nation, will feature special guests like Collective Soul and Edwin McCain while traveling to 43 different cities across the U.S. and Canada.

The tour kicks off on May 30, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. There are three shows planned for the Sunshine State in Tampa, Jacksonville and West Palm Beach – which ends the tour.

Tampa Bay-area fans can mark their calendars for Sept. 26 when the band will grace the stage at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre.

General on-sale for tickets starts at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10 with presale access for newsletter subscribers starting at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 7. All tickets can be purchased on Hootie.com.

The Summer Camp with Trucks Tour is the first time the band is hitting the road since 2019, according to Live Nation.

“Basically overnight, our lives changed when Cracked Rear View did what it did – and yet as we quickly moved from vans and college bars to tour busses and arenas, not much else changed with how we approached making music and sharing it with our fans,” bandmember Mark Bryan said in a statement. “Edwin McCain told someone at the time that touring with us felt like summer camp with trucks… and that’s exactly how we want next year to feel, too.

"We can’t wait for you to join us!”
