The popularity of the Lady Gaga costumes signals the changing nature of Halloween - which has increasingly become a party holiday for adults. What's more, Lady Gaga costumes come with a crucial touch of reality: She's actually worn similar outfits.p class="inside-copy">"She is Halloween," says Robert Thompson, professor of pop culture at Syracuse University. "It's too easy to be Lady Gaga. All you need to do is put on a bunch of feathers and other stuff that sticks out. It seems so lazy."p class="inside-copy">Among the hot Gaga items:ul>

Costumes. The Lady Gaga 2009 Video Music Awards performance outfit - white shorts and high white boots - goes for $49 to $59, as does the ultra-low-cut Lady Gaga blue swimsuit and the outer-space-like Lady Gaga black-and-silver dress.

But don't look for the controversial raw meat dress that Lady Gaga wore to the 2010 Video Music Awards. "We'll leave that for consumers to create on their own," says Rubie's Beige.ul>

Wigs. An array of Lady Gaga blond wigs - and blond hair bow - go for $14.98 to $19.98.

Sunglasses. Mask-like sunglasses, including one that says "Gaga" on it in large letters, fetch up to $9.98.
