Lady Gaga's late stage arrival was so awkward

It is one thing to be late for a concert. But to be late for an awards show after an introduction onstage, that's just seriously awkward.
She came, she wowed.

It is one thing to be late for a concert. But to be late for an awards show after an introduction onstage, that's just seriously awkward.

But that happened Saturday night with Lady Gaga at the Producers Guild Awards.

America Ferrera sent up a little warning flag when she came out to introduce Lady Gaga, who was singing her Oscar-nominated song "Til It Happens To You" from The Hunting Ground documentary

Ferrera noticed that Lady Gaga was not anywhere to be seen as she came to the podium. No problem. There was a long video introduction to the documentary and the song.

That ended. Then Ferrera was like, there's still no Gaga. America stammered hilariously onstage:

"So actually she's not here. Yet. Um... So I guess I'm singing the song. Yah, no. But she's going to be here. They tell me imminently."

There was a lot of nervous laughter from the audience. As the excruciating seconds ticked by waiting for Gaga, it got so bad that Ferrera jokingly opened the floor for discussion.

"Any questions?...Oh she's here. As much as I wanted to sing that song. Please welcome The Lady."

Lady Gaga slid right into her spot behind the piano. Oh, and Lady Gaga's performance? She might have kept people waiting, but she knocked her song out of the park.

Worth the wait.
