ORLANDO, Fla. — Get your proton pack projector ready, Halloween Horror Nights is officially getting a "Ghostbusters" house.
The annual fright fest announced the haunted maze will feature at this year's event for the first time ever. The maze will be crafted and inspired by the 1984 film, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.
Universal Orlando said Halloween Horror Nights guests will get to venture through New York City just like the original "Ghostbusters" Peter, Ray, Egon and Winston. Scenes from the film will be recreated in the maze, including the firehouse, the New York Public Library and the Temple of Gozer.
The park said, "an army of ghoulish spirits, hideous specters and ectoplasm-dripping phantasms attack from every corner" inside the maze. Then guests will come face to face with paranormal creatures like Slimer, Gozer the Gozerian and the massive Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
Halloween Horror Nights opens Sept. 6 at Universal Studios in Orlando.
