TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Pig Jig is postponed following the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, organizers announced.

In a post on Facebook, officials released a statement saying they, along with the HopeWill Foundation, have chosen to postpone the event to allow the city of Tampa to have "some time to heal" and to have enough resources needed to put the event together.

"Tampa, our hearts are heavy as we witness the challenges our community is facing in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton," Tampa Pig Jig officials said in the post. "Coordinating our lineup, vendors and venue is no small feat, but we are dedicated to delivering an unforgettable event."

The Tampa Pig Jig was initially scheduled for 1-10 p.m. Saturday at Julian B. Lane Park, bringing barbeque and music fans together.

The music lineup for the initial date included Dierks Bentley, The Revivalists, Muscadine Bloodline, The Cadillac Three and Greylan James.

A new date for the pig jig has not yet been announced, but organizers say it will be released soon.

"Tampa, the pig jig will go on," the post reads. "Until then, our hearts are with you, the community we love so much."
