St. Pete Pride parade, parties and more: 2018 schedule of events

It'll be a busy weekend in St. Petersburg! We've got your schedule of events.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Pride weekend is here, with several events planned to celebrate diversity and support the LGBTQ community.

Here's a rundown of upcoming events -- descriptions from the St. Pete Pride's Facebook page:

FRIDAY: Passport Across Grand Central

Come visit Grand Central District in St. Pete! Participants will be given a PRIDE Passport at our concert or participating bars, travel across Grand Central District to get four out of five stamps on your passport to enter a chance to win a grand prize basket including hotel stays, tickets to events, gift cards, alcohol and more.

One passport per participant.

FRIDAY: Transtastic TransPride March pre-party

Do you enjoy movies and beer? Crave vegan foods while navigating through board games? Then join us at the TransPride March Pre-party at the Flying Boat Brewing Company!

Visit this up and coming LGBT-friendly brewery in town as they host a pre-party with an emphasis on the gender-expansive community. Then afterward, prepare to feel empowered and ready to march in the Saturday parade!

It runs from 5:30-9 p.m. at the Flying Boat Brewing Company. The event is free.

FRIDAY: The SP2 Concert

SP2 Concert is a fundraising event to assist in funding various Tampa Bay community organizations. A mix of various bands and local singers will warm up the crowd as attendees cool down with their choice of Bud Lite and Absolut Vodka beverages. Beverage sales benefit the St Pete Pride Community Grants Program.

Hosted by: Coco Montrese (Season 5 of RuPaul's Drag Race, All-Stars 2 & Frank Marino's Divas)

7 p.m.: Swipe Right
8 p.m.: Rolando
9 p.m.: Spazmatics

The event is free.

SATURDAY: St. Pete Pride Parade

Celebrating 16 years of Pride in St. Pete, the Pride Parade brings the city to a standstill with more than 200,000 people lining the streets in support of equality, pride and a dazzling spectacle of glitter and self-expression.

Be sure to look out for the 10News team! We'll also be marching in the parade and tossing out beads and t-shirts.

The parade joyously celebrates just how far we have come, and accepts the challenge of the journey ahead.

Join 6,000 fabulous people as they unite for a glittering explosion of pride in the heart of downtown St Pete.
