TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Bay, prepare yourselves to “Lose Control” this summer.

Hip-hop pioneer Missy Elliot is set to perform her greatest hits during the “Out of This World” tour at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 24 at the Amalie Arena. It will be her first-ever headline tour after more than 25 years in the music business, according to a news release.

The Grammy-award winning artist is best known for her Billboard hits “Get Ur Freak On” and “The Rain,” a song sampling 1973’s “I Can’t Stand the Rain” by Ann Pebbles.

Concertgoers will also get a chance to see Elliot’s long-time collaborators Busta Rhymes, Ciara and Timbaland on stage together, the release said.

"This is an incredible time in my life as I am experiencing so many milestone firsts. Being the FIRST female Hip Hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and now going out on my FIRST headline tour," Elliot said in a statement.
