PLANT CITY, Fla. — "The Stage is Set!"
One of the sweetest events in the state of Florida is returning for its 90th annual event.
The Florida Strawberry Festival is returning to Plant City from Feb. 27 until March 9 with a new "The Stage is Set!" theme.
Part of the new theme includes introducing a new entertainment experience and a new soundstage, replacing the original 35-year-old stage that has been used every year. Organizers say it will help ensure the best artists come to perform.
“Over the decades, the Strawberry Festival’s goal has been to honor the traditions of our past while striving to provide our guests with something new and exciting to experience,” Florida Strawberry Festival President Kyle Robinson said in a statement.
Along with the new stage, officials are also promising new attractions, vendors, entertainment, guest experiences and more.
This year's event features new artwork showing the iconic strawberry character sporting sunglasses, a festival-branded cowboy hat and a guitar while standing in front of the GT Grandstands.
“The Strawberry Festival will always focus on supporting our agricultural community and our youth in agriculture. One way we celebrate agriculture is through our stellar headline entertainment,” Robinson said in a statement. “‘The Stage is Set’ for the 90th Annual Florida Strawberry Festival where you will find great entertainment, delicious food, unbelievable vendors, agricultural exhibits and thrilling midway rides!”
