NASHVILLE, Tenn —
Who doesn’t love a little Dolly Parton in the morning? This Easter Sunday the singer posted a video sharing some thoughts and warm wishes as churchgoers deal with the challenge of celebrating the holiday while social distancing.
“We don't have to go to a building, to a church, to worship God,” Parton said in her post. “The Kingdom of Heaven is within. So, let's just do that this year; there will always be pretty dresses and hats and shoes.”
Parton finished the video with an acoustic version of her song “He’s Alive.” She said that normally she would sing it with a big choir but since she didn’t have a space big enough to make sure everyone was separated she decided to simplify it.
