NEW YORK (AP) -- Actor Russell Crowe has been arrested. Police in New York say the Academy Award winner was detained for allegedly throwing a telephone at a worker in Manhattan's Mercer Hotel.Police say he threw the phone during an early-morning argument and that the worker was hit in the face. A police spokesman says the 41-year-old, Australian-born actor is charged with with second degree assault. He's due in Manhattan Criminal Court.
