ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, but I grew up in Charlotte, NC. Experiencing the eye of Hurricane Hugo when I was young sparked my interest in tropical meteorology and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and was duel enrolled at Mississippi State University. Not only did I earn my meteorology degree, but I also met my beautiful wife while in college.

I started forecasting as an intern at WCCB in Charlotte, NC. I got my first job at KKCO in Grand Junction, CO where I did weekend evenings. I’ve lived in Savannah, GA, Charleston, WV and most recently, Myrtle Beach, SC, where I’ve spent the last 10 years doing morning weather.

I've forecasted all types of weather over my career, spanning from snowstorms, 23 degrees below zero temperatures, severe weather and of course, hurricanes. I moved to Tampa and WTSP in November of 2024. You can watch me Monday through Friday on 10 Tampa Bay Midday beginning at noon.

I have earned the NWA seal from the National Weather Association. I received two awards (2013 & 2015) from the WV Broadcasters Association for Best AM Newscast for my coverage of Super Storm Sandy (2012) and a Nor’easter (2014).

I love anything to do with the beach, pool and outdoors and am looking forward to many years with the absence of cold winters! I have been married for 15 years and we have two beautiful daughters and two dogs that keep us very busy.

I love the warm climate of SW Florida and am looking forward to exploring everything the Tampa Bay area has to offer.
