TAMPA, Fla. — Officials say that multiple southbound lanes on Interstate 275 were temporarily blocked following a crash Saturday night in Tampa.
The crash happened around 8:20 p.m. A 60-year-old man driving a Kia Sedan lost control and overturned on I-275. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said.
The closed lanes on the interstate were just before the Howard and Armenia Avenues exit, Tampa Fire Rescue said in a social media post.
To help emergency officials work the scene, three lanes of I-275 were blocked until about 9:40 p.m. Drivers were asked to use alternative routes.
