Lake Worth, Florida - The owner of a Lake Worth deli is charged with shipping cocaine and paying an undercover agent to kill his wife. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says Glen Sandler was arrested Wednesday after he gave the fake hit man $15,000 once he thought 49-year-old Betty Sandler had been killed. Authorities say Sandler negotiated a deal in which his wife would be followed from her Wellington home, murdered and buried in a remote spot. The sheriff's office also says Sandler volunteered to ship about $100,000 worth of cocaine in his personal airplane to get a $10,000 discount off the deal. Sandler owns the Gourmet Deli House. Authorities say he has a history of transporting drugs. Officials say by killing his wife, Sandler thought he could avoid paying a $2.5 million divorce settlement.
