ORLANDO, Florida (AP)--An artist who sued the city of Deltona for removing his religious paintings from City Hall has been given permission to rehang his paintings.Lloyd Marcus' three paintings include a partial Bible laying on a table and a person donning a cap that reads "I Love Jesus." The paintings were deemed overtly religious and removed from a Black History Month Display at City Hall last week.City officials initially said the paintings' religious overtones did not send a message of religious neutrality. The display was meant for city employees to showcase their personal black history memorabilia and was not intended to include items from the public. The city decided to open the display to the public, including Marcus' paintings. The city attorney says the decision was not a result of Marcus' lawsuit.
