10 Weather: Sunny and very warm week ahead

High pressure dominates the forecast providing dry, sunny conditions with temperatures turning hot later this week.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Tuesday & Wednesday: An area of high pressure has a tight hold on our forecast, allowing a week of rain-free weather. We are in a surplus of rain which is a plus as we move towards wildfire season. Just be aware: little to no cloud cover means a higher UV index and a sunburn could happen in as little as 10 minutes or less. Be sure to apply the sunscreen often and generously!

Thursday & This Weekend: Humidity begins to creep back in and temperatures skyrocket!  Temperatures will crank up with the dry pattern ahead; we could see our first 90° day for Tampa International by this weekend! Thanks to more moisture and humid conditions we could see a tiny bit of relief from a stray passing shower this weekend.
