TAMPA, Fla. — A car caught fire Friday afternoon along the Howard Frankland Bridge.
It happened just before 3 p.m. on northbound Interstate 275.
The flames could be seen from a Florida Department of Transportation camera pointed toward St. Petersburg. Firefighters were seen extinguishing the flames as smoke continued to shoot into the sky.
First responders blocked two lanes of the highway to deal with the fire, but all lanes have since reopened to traffic.
