Prices for condos at Riverwalk Place will start at $600,000.

TAMPA, Fla. - The future of Downtown Tampa is about to change with a new mixed-used tower being developed on the Riverwalk.

Riverwalk Place will offer residents luxury living inside a 53-story tower.

Once complete, developers say the building, with offices, restaurants and retail, will be the tallest on the Gulf Coast.

But it’s going to cost you a pretty penny to get a unit.

Prices for the luxury condos start at $600,000 for "live-work residents" - those who work from home.

“It adds an option to the building that’s appealing for a lot of professionals who telecommute and want to live right downtown on the water above a row of restaurants,” says Larry Feldman with Feldman Equities, one of the developers for the tower.

You'll have to shell out a lot more for top floor condos with breathtaking views starting on the 22nd floor. Prices range from $700,000 to $1.75 million. Penthouses are well over $2 million, but can cost even more.

“We're going to see a lot of younger people getting involved here because of the lifestyle,” says Feldman.

Feldman is working with Tower Realty and Two Roads Development to create the tower.

The high-rise was developed with a work hard, play hard attitude. It gives residents a convenient lifestyle, where they can jog, bike, eat and work without ever using a car or walking on a city street.

As you walk through the Riverwalk, you will enter the plaza of the building to get to the other side.

Feldman says they will be widening a part of the Riverwalk to make room for some of the restaurants.

This convenient life style, Feldman says, is the reason why people are already calling him to secure their spots.

For now, securing a spot requires a private appointment. Sales will open to the public in September.
