Power restored to Duke Energy customers in parts of Pinellas County

Power outages impacted residents in the Tanglewood, Venetian Isles, Shore Acres, Placido Bayou, North East Park and Allendale Terrace neighborhoods.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - More than 10,000 Duke Energy customers in Pinellas County lost power for a portion of Tuesday afternoon.

The residential outages affected residents in the Tanglewood, Venetian Isles, Shore Acres, Placido Bayou, North East Park and Allendale Terrace neighborhoods.

Many people saw their power restored late Tuesday afternoon. Some scattered outages remained, as of 4:45 p.m.

Some area traffic signals also lost power. But, power has since been restored to those traffic lights.

Drivers should always treat traffic signals without power like four-way stops.
