Tampa woman using Facebook to find owner of keepsake necklace

Besides using social media to find the owner, Rodriguez has also been in touch with Blount and Curry Funeral Home, who are trying to find the owner using the numbers on the back of the pendant.

TAMPA, FLA-- Danielle Rodriguez knows what it's like to lose a precious keepsake. When she lost a diamond necklace her grandmother gave her, she "cried for weeks."

Now she's trying to find the grandchild of someone else who has lost a necklace that is a reminder of their grandma by turning to social media. Her post on Facebook has so far been shared nearly 5,500 times.

Rodriguez said that she came across the silver necklace, with an imprinted pendant of a fingerprint on one side and the words, "A touch of Abuela forever" on the other, at the office of her apartment complex, The Links of Carollwood in Carrollwood Village.

Employees there said the necklace was found some time ago, but no one had claimed it. The employees are familiar with Rodriguez and her daughter and often give the 2-year-old little gifts. This time, they wanted to give her the necklace. But Rodriguez knew she wanted to find the owner.

Besides using social media to find the owner, Rodriguez has also been in touch with Blount and Curry Funeral Home, who are trying to find the owner using the numbers on the back of the pendant.
