A naked man allegedly wandered into a home and later attacked another man with a rake in New Port Richey around 8 p.m. Friday.
According to an arrest report, the naked man got past a closed gate in the backyard, strolled through an unlocked door, and began yelling at the people inside the home in the 9000 block of Kiowa Drive.
That's when a man who lived there threw the nude suspect out a side door. But, investigators say the unclothed man didn't walk away. Instead, Pasco County deputies say he found a rake in the yard and began repeatedly hitting the resident, who suffered cuts to his back and shoulders. The arrest report says the suspect hit him so many times the rake actually broke into small pieces.
During the scuffle, deputies say the victim grabbed a hammer from his truck in self defense and hit the naked guy several times -- causing the suspect to run away. The bare-skinned suspect was tracked down by a K-9 deputy and arrested a few streets away.
The naked suspect was identified as Maurice Castaneda, 36, who deputies say refused to answer any questions.
Castanedo was charged with burglary and aggravated battery. He was taken to the Land O Lakes Jail.
