PALMETTO, Fla. — Three people are dead after a fiery crash Wednesday morning off of Interstate 275 in Palmetto, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Few details are known at this time, but we do know that around 3:15 a.m. the driver of a pickup truck crashed into a pole off of the interstate around mile marker 1. After the crash, the truck caught fire.
Troopers confirmed the driver and two passengers were killed as a result of the crash. Positive identification is still ongoing, FHP says.
Sky 10 flew over the scene around 6:30 a.m. after the flames had been put out by fire crews. While still dark, you can see the car destroyed and charred by the fire.
