ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — One woman is in critical condition after a house fire at a home in St. Petersburg Friday.
Around 5:30 p.m., St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to the 5800 block of Mangrove Street North for reports of smoke coming from the home. When they arrived they found light smoke coming from the eves.
Crews were able to enter and begin extinguishing the fire. While they did, other firefighters found two people during their initial search.
The woman was taken to Tampa General Hospital.
A second victim, an adult male, was transported to Bayfront Health in stable condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
