BRANDON, Fla. — Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews responded to a fire that engulfed a Brandon house in heavy smoke and flames Saturday afternoon, the agency said in a news release.
Crews arrived at the home around 1:30 p.m. on Bridlewood Way after receiving numerous 911 calls on the fire, the agency said. Firefighters were able to act quickly and, within 20 minutes, the fire was under control, according to fire rescue.
No residents or firefighters were reportedly injured in the blaze and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
"HCFR commends the rapid response and teamwork of all personnel involved in successfully containing the fire and preventing further damage," fire rescue stated in the release.
