INVERNESS, Fla. — The Citrus County Sheriff's Office says a plane crashed Wednesday near the Inverness Airport.
Deputies said the crash happened around 8:11 a.m.
Investigators said the pilot was the only person on the plane when it crashed. Deputies said he did not survive.
