BRANDON, Fla. — A Brandon church was damaged by a fire Thursday night, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue said.
The fire happened at New Testament Church on Dew Bloom Road. When crews arrived, flames were coming through the roof of the fellowship hall, fire officials said.
One firefighter collapsed while getting off a truck. He was taken to Brandon Regional Hospital with unspecified injuries.
There was no one in the church at the time.
