Things didn't go as planned for a man who tried to rob a 7-Eleven in St. Petersburg.

About 4 a.m. Tuesday, a masked man walked into the store at 2632 Park St. N., showed a knife and demanded money.

The clerk, however, didn't cooperate, and after a brief exchange, chased the suspect out of the store.

Not only that, but the suspect was nice enough to leave some clues behind: He was caught on cameras outside the store without his mask on, and he left a bicycle at the scene.

This bicycle was left at the scene of the crime.

The suspect is about 5-foot-9 with a slim build, blue eyes and short brown hair.
