NORTHDALE, Fla. - Detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrested a Tampa man accused of attacking a jogger and stealing her shorts.
The sheriff's office said Robert Hembree Jr. grabbed a woman from behind, threw her to the ground and removed her shorts around 3:41 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 on the Northdale-Lake Park Trail.
Hembree, 31, is charged with sexual assault and petit theft.
The victim was on a jogging trail at the time of the attack.
Hembree ran from the scene when the victim began kicking him while lying on the ground naked from the waist down, according to the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office said deputies arrested Hembree for unrelated in the area. Hembree admitted to investigators to throwing the victim to the ground and seeing her naked from the waist down, the sheriff's office said.
