LAKELAND, Fla. -- The FBI considers an accused bank robber on the lam to be armed and dangerous.

Myron William Ernst allegedly walked into the TD Bank at 6108 U.S. Highway 98 N. and passed off a note to the teller saying he had a firearm, the FBI says. After walking out with an unspecified amount of money, he drove off in a newer model, dark gray Ford F-150 truck.

The robbery happened just before 1 p.m. Oct. 12.

It's believed Ernst might have robbed other banks across Florida and Alabama.

Ernst goes by several aliases and was born sometime in the late 1950s to late 1960s, according to the FBI. He is at or just over 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 145-170 pounds.

"Ernst is known to have violent tendencies and is an escape risk," the FBI notes.

A reward of $5,000 is offered for any information leading to Ernst's arrest.
