TAMPA BAY -- Congratulations to Joe Borg, the first-place finisher of the inaugural Skyway 10K supporting the U.S. Armed Forces!
Borg, a Tampa resident, finished with a time of 34 minutes, 45.7 seconds, according to the latest race results.
Runners and walkers alike hit the pavement around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, March 4, with perfect -- picture-perfect -- race conditions. The results website shows there were just under 7,600 participants, which quickly sold out.
James Osborne of Tampa finished second with a time of 35 minutes 32.9 seconds. And Cody Angell of St. Petersburg finished third with 36 minutes 21.6 seconds.
